It can take up to 5 full minutes to fully disconnect after you start an Opal session (because certain apps actively try to avoid detection to keep you connected at all time.

What to do about it.

#1 Wait 5 minutes. After 5 minutes the app should tell you you’re offline if you try to load new content (however cached content will still show).

#2 Install Shortcuts

We have an additional way to block apps immediately, however, it requires a bit of additional setup (2 minutes). Once you set it up, you don’t need to touch it again and it will redirect app opens to Opal.

Alone, this is an added redundancy to our screen-time blocking that removes apps from the home-screen in the first place. But shortcuts can be extra powerful when paired with “Automations”. See the article below for some inspiration.
